Sport clubs and associations

Reservation of regular sessions for physical activity 

  • The town makes important cooperation with clubs and associations when organising diverse events along with issues related to reserving sessions, assistance and support as well as rewarding. Sports clubs organise competitive activities and hobbies for all ages all year round.

    •  The regular sessions of the Centre for Physical Activities (the ball game halls, the space for athletics, the senior hall, the Budo (Budō) space, meetings rooms, the indoor ice rink and the indoor swimming pool) shall be applied for twice a year, in other words, for the summer and winter season.
    • The regular sessions of schools and indoor ice rink shall be applied for the winter season.
    • The regular sessions of sports fields and ball fields shall be applied for the summer season.

     

    The summer season

    • The summer season of the indoor physical activities is from the beginning of June in early August.
    • The regular sessions of the Sport Center for the sections 1–4 of the exercise hall, for the space for athletics and the meeting room shall be applied for the summer season in the beginning of May.
    • The summer season of the sports field is from mid-May until mid-September.
    • Sessions of the sports field and the ball fields of the Sport Center for the summer season shall be applied for in the end of April.

    The winter season

    • The winter season of the indoor physical activities is from mid-August (space-specific differences) until the end of May.
    • The regular sessions of the Centre for Physical Activities for the sections 1-4 of the exercise hall, for the space for athletics, the Budo (Budō) space, the indoor swimming pool, the indoor ice rink, the senior hall and the meeting rooms shall be applied for in May.
    • The sessions of the spaces for physical activities for schools (the general upper secondary school, the schools of Tolpanniemi, Mäkelä, Kirkkoketo, Nilo, Nilonkangas and Toranki) shall be applied in May.
      The application forms are available on this page during application periods or at the cash desk of the SPorts Center.

    The application forms are to be delivered to: Kuusamon Liikuntakeskus , Kitkantie 42, 93600 KUUSAMO. The application form can also be returned scanned to liikuntapalvelut@kuusamo.fi.

    Available free sessions can be enquired about after the application period from the Office of Sports and Fitness Services (as for the Sport Center and the sports field), telephone +358 40 860 8721 and from the headmaster in question (as for the schools).

    Event reservations

    Reservations of single sessions

    • The ball game halls, the indoor biking hall, the Budo (Budō) space, trampoline, the space for athletics, the kettlebell hall and the senior gym hall of the Centre for Physical Activities shall be reserved at the cash desk in the Centre, telephone +358 40 860 8720.
    • The indoor ice rink, sports field and the outdoor ball fields of the Sport Center shall be reserved through the Office of Sports and Fitness Services, telephone +358 40 860 8721.
    • Single reservations for the school gyms shall be made through the primary and lower secondary education’s offices

    Hire of the car park of the Centre for Physical Activities

    Hire of the car park of the Sport Centers, as with all streets or public areas of the town, shall be made by an application for a permit which is to be addressed to the Urban Services Unit.
